Tendency of “Chalta hai” must go

Mr. Gupta at seminar “Teachers and moral value”

Bhopal, October 6, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan):  The tendency of “Chalta hai” or “This much is permissible” should be abandoned, stated Higher and Technical Education Minister Mr. Umashankar Gupta at a seminar on “Teachers and Moral Values” under Chetanya Prawah series here today. The seminar was held jointly by RCPV Noronha Academy of Administration and Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Akademi. The Minister said that not only classrooms, students also learn from way of speech and mannerism of teachers. He said that along with family, it is also responsibility of teachers to inculcate moral values among students. They should impart values along with syllabus. Mr. Gupta also released a book on information technology.

Industrialist Mr. Ramesh Chandra Agrawal said that children should not be made machines. Education only for the sake of providing certificates to students is not proper. Director, Hindi Granth Akademi Dr. Surendra Bihari Goswami said that teachers have started teaching instead of making students learn. He said that true teacher is one who imparts learning. Academy’s Director Mrs. Shikha Dube proposed a vote of thanks.
