Over 190 students take part in creative workshop

Wildlife conservation week to conclude today

Bhopal, October 7, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan):  During Wildlife Conservation Week at Van Vihar today, 190 children took part in creative workshop. Mr. Vinay Sapre of Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Bhopal taught children to make attractive drawings of various flora and fauna on colour paper. Children took part in the activity with fervour and enthusiasm. Students of class IX to XII took part in semi-final of quiz at Vihar Veethika. Four teams entered final. In the last bird watching camp of the week, about 230 bird watchers learned specie-wise bird behaviour, to identify various bird species including Fantail Fly Catcher, Doodhraj, Chatak, Papeeha, Night Heron, Red Vented Nighingale, Lalmuniya, Robin, Pied Kingfisher, Indian Roller, Green Bee Eaters, Born Swallow etc. Wildlife Conservation Week will conclude at 12 noon tomorrow. Panchayats & Rural Development Minister Mr. Gopal Bhargava will be the chief guest. The function will be presided over by Forest Minister Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar. Fancy dress competition for children will be held from 9.30 am and open forum from 11 am. Prizes will be distributed to winners of various competitions as well as officers and employees for outstanding work for wildlife conservation.
