More efforts for increasing growth rate this year

Bhopal, June 7, 2012 (Ataullah Faizan):  Chief Secretary Mr. Parasuram has said that efforts will be made to ensure better results for increasing growth rate and agricultural production in Madhya Pradesh this year. He was addressing a meeting of State-level Bankers’ Committee here today. Banks’ creative cooperation will help in achieving better results. The Chief Secretary said that efforts should be increased for expansion of banks’ branches. He expressed the need for bringing credit-debit ratio to desired level in eight districts of the state. Chief Secretary Mr. R. Parasuram urged the banks to pay attention to early sanction to beneficiaries’ cases. He stressed the need to accelerate the pace of clearance of cases of Mukhyamantri Grameen Aawas Yojna, education loans and rural development schemes. Central Bank of India Chairman-cum-Managing Director Mr. M.V. Tanksale and General Manager Mr. Umesh Kumar Singh were also present on the occasion. At the meeting, encouragement to weavers of Chanderi, Maheshwari and Burhanpur and assistance from the State Government and banks were also discussed.

Agriculture Production Commissioner Mr. M.M. Upadhyay, Additional Chief Secretary Technical Education & Skill Development Mrs. Ajita Bajpai Pandey, Principal Secretary Panchayats & Rural Development Mrs. Aruna Sharma and Secretaries of concerning departments were also present on the occasion. At the meeting, detailed information about banks’ achievements were also given.
