Bhopal, October 14, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan): Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Minister Mr. Antar Singh Arya has directed to send proposal to increase number of backward class foreign study scholarships from 10 to 100. Mr. Arya said that all basic amenities included filtered water should be made available in all departmental hostels. Mr. Arya stressed the need for review of scholarship distribution and inspection of hostels at least once a month. He directed to take strict actions against erring officials. Mr. Arya directed to send proposal for backward class hostel in newly constituted Agar-Malwa district to Centre. All districts except Agar-Malwa have 100-seat boys and 50-seat girls hostels. Mr. Arya directed to send proposal of Rs. 10 crore for renovation of cemeteries and minorities’ religious and social places. Mr. Arya directed to provide computers, appoint computer trainers in hostels and construct boundary walls of all girls hostels in the first phase.
