Bhopal, October 17, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan): Representatives of all major religions of the world will hold dialogue on utility and usefulness of religious in the context of modern times during spiritual Mahakumbh at Indore from October 24 to 26, 2015. Personalities like Shankaracharya Shri Jayendra Saraswati of Kamakothi Peeth of Kanchi, spiritual guru Shri Shri Ravi Shankar and Juna Akhada’s Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshananda Giri will participate in international symposium on “Religion for Human Welfare”. Lectures will be delivered on use of religion for world peace, environment, nature, social justice, knowledge & spiritualism, social service and human glory. Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan will welcome the distinguished guests. On the first day of seminar – October 24 – a special lecture will be delivered by Shankaracharya Shri Jayendra Saraswati. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshananda Giri will be keynote speaker on October 25 at 6 pm and spiritual guru Shri Shri. Ravi Shankar will deliver a lecture on the concluding day – October 26. Entry is free for common people in the symposium. Six different sessions will be held simultaneously from 9 am on all 3 days during the international symposium to be held at Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore. Representatives of Buddhism, Jainism, Islam, Bahai religion, Vedic traditions, Judaism, Christianity and other established religious practices will deliver lectures at these sessions. Over 75 representatives of religion, philosophers, scholars and thinkers from 50 countries will take part in international symposium.
The speakers will include Bhutan’s Foreign Minister, Minister from Sri Lanka, Chief Administrator of Tibet and Rabbi from Israel. A cultural programme based on 10 Rasas will be held on October 24 and a multimedia drama performance on values of all religions on October 25. Vedacharya David Fraulay, All-India Ulema and Mashaikh Board’s Syed Mohammad Ashraf, Dr. Thik Tam Dak, Mr. Sultan Shaheen, Prof. Sean Hino (China), , Mr. Joseph Marthoma and Prof Wamsi Juluri have also been specially invited to the symposium.
