Observance of religion to reduce crimes in society: Shri Shri Ravishankar

lead27.10.15Bhopal, October 27, 2015 (Muslim Saleem):  While addressing 3-day International Seminar on Religion for Human Welfare at Indore today, Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Simhastha Declaration for human welfare based on conclusions of this seminar will be released an international seminar during Simhastha-2016. Conclusions of both the seminars will be published in form of a booklet. These conclusions will would show right path to the world. The Chief Minister said that arrangements will be made in Madhya Pradesh to teach essence of religion. He announced that for this Centre for Integrated Healing and Centre for Alternative Learning will be set up at Sanchi University. He also announced providing land to different countries to set up study centres at Sanchi University. Founder of Art of Living and spiritual Guru Shri Shri Ravishankar said that observance of religion alone will reduce crimes in society. It is necessary to propagate, expand and nurture religion in society.

He said that representatives and scholars of various religions should hold mutual discussions for world peace. Only wise persons are religious and religion develops wisdom. He said that religious persons can never be violent. He said that more of such ideological Mahakumbhs should be held for people’s happiness and peace. Madhya Pradesh has started a new chapter for value-based politics and rebuilding of society through this religious congregation. Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sange of Central Tibet Administration said that goal of religion is building a compassionate world.

God showers love, mercy and compassion. Human beings seek happiness and riddance from sorrow. Hinduism believes in principle of world as single family. Christianity considers entire human race as children of God. Sikh Guru Mr. Gobind Singh has said that every human has a part of God. Poet laureate Mr. Rabindranath Tagore has described probity of mind, speech and deeds as religion. Tension and struggle crop up when one religion is imposed on any other person. Religion teaches us courage, knowledge, wisdom, probity, mercy and dutifulness.
