Efforts to send Ramzan to mother in Pakistan

maya30.10.15Bhopal, October 30, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):  Legal steps would be taken to send 15 years old Ramzan, who came from Bangladesh to India and then Bhopal, to his mother in Pakistan. Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Maya Singh met Ramzan lodged in Arambh-Ummeed Children’s Home at Ayodhya Nagar here today. Mrs. Singh asked Ramzan as to where he wants to go. He wished to go to his mother in Pakistan. Ramzan, who had fled home 2 years ago following atrocities by step-mother strayed into India and then reached Bhopal. Railway Police sent him to child care line and in turn to Ummeed destitute home. He is living there for last 2 years. Mrs. Singh said that she would write to External Affairs Minister Mrs. Sushma Swaraj in this regard. Following completion of formalities and discussions with his mother, Ramzan will be sent to Pakistan. Mrs. Singh also met other children of the destitute home and sought information about their well being.
