Mr. Chouhan pays courtesy visit to Somalia’s president
Bhopal, November 1, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid a courtesy visit to Somalia’s President Mr. Hasan Shaikh Mahmood here today. According warm welcome to Mr. Mahmood, he said that there are many similarities between Somalia and India. Due to it, there are immense possibilities of work in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh. Mr. Chouhan said that state’s people are happy and proud that a person who studied at Bhopal is now President of Somalia. He said that there are several similarities between Somalia and other African countries and India. Therefore, there are immense possibilities of work in collaboration with them. Now, the country is taking rapid strides on path of progress. Extending greetings, Mr. Chouhan said that under leadership of Mr. Mahmood, Somalia will become a prosperous state rapidly.
The Chief Minister said that a lot of changes have occurred in the state since the period when Mr. Mahmood was pursuing education at Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh has witnessed rapid growth during last 10 years. Its growth and agriculture growth rates have also increased heavily. Similarly, the country is also making progress in every sector under leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. Somalia’s President Mr. Hasan Shaikh Mahmood said that city of lakes Bhopal is very beautiful. He has deep-rooted ties with it. He is also very happy to visit it again. Expressing happiness over progress of Madhya Pradesh, he congratulated Mr. Chouhan and assured to work in tandem with him in future.
