shuklb10.11.15Bhopal, November 10, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):  After long wait, people of Vindhya region have got back its heritage in the form of white tigress today. Thus area’s pride and identity white tiger has made historic comeback. On the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, Energy, Public Relations and Mineral Resources Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla along with people of Vindhya region and public representatives welcomed white tigress and other wild animals at white tiger safari, zoological park and rescue centre at Mukundpur in Satna district today after performing worship. Mr. Shukla said that on the occasion of Dhanteras, the long-cherished dream of people of Vindhya region has been fulfilled. The issue has been connected to our emotions and heritage. He said that return of white tiger will bring tourism revolution in Vindhya region.

He said that it would also help in economic development. The Minister said that Mukundpur zoo will be first white tiger safari in the world, which would also have a zoo and treatment centre. He said that experience of sighting white tiger roaming free will be unique for tourists. Mr. Shukla congratulated the region for this. MP Mr. Janardan Mishra said that arrival of white tiger will give fillip to tourism. He congratulated Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Central ministers for this.

Expressing happiness, MP Mr. Ganesh Singh said that Mukundpur would get included in tourist circuit soon. MLAs Mr. Divyaraj Singh, Harsh Singh and former MLA Mr. Narayan Tripathi also spoke on the occasion. Former Minister Mr. Pushpraj Singh congratulated Minister Mr. Shukla for return of white tiger in the region. Remembering Maharaja Martand Singh of erstwhile Rewa state, he reminisced anecdotes associated with white tiger ‘Mohan’. Rewa Mayor Mrs. Mamta Gupta, Satna Mayor Mrs. Mamta Pandey, other public representatives and people of Vindhya region were also present on the occasion.
