Skill development to ensure socio-economic development

All India cooperatives week gets underway

vikas15.11.15Bhopal, November 15, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan):   Skill development programmes in cooperatives sector will intensify socio-economic development and increase employment opportunities. This was stated by speakers at the inaugural function of 62nd All India Cooperatives Week here today. Principal Secretary Cooperatives Mr. Ajit Kesari said that shareholders are owners in cooperative sector. Cooperatives management should be accountable to them. Web portal e-cooperative has been developed to make available a platform of information. Director of Cooperative Management Institute Dr. A.K. Asthana, Mr. H.C. Sharma and Manju Sharma spoke on ‘Skill Development and Employment.’ Cooperative Week special issue of Sahkari Samachar was released.  Mr. Thomas of World Vision and President of BHEE Thrift and Credit Cooperative Society Mr. Rajendra Yadav were felicitated with shawl, coconut and memento for excellent works in cooperative sector.
