Mr. Shukla to visit inter solar exhibition in Mumbai

Presentation of world’s biggest solar plant to be made

Bhopal, November 19, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan):  New & Renewable Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla will visit Inter Solar Exhibition at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon in Mumbai on November 19. A presentation of world’s biggest 750 MW solar power plant will be made at the exhibition at 11 am. This plant is being established at Gurh tahasil in Rewa district. Minister Mr. Shukla will leave for Mumbai by air on November 19. After participating in the programme in Mumbai, Mr. Shukla will leave for New Delhi. On November 20, Mr. Shukla will participate in a meeting of Union Ministry of Mines and Steel on MMDR Act’s amendment. Mr. Shukla will return to Bhopal in the night. Inter Solar Exhibition has got underway at Goregaon in Mumbai from today. Madhya Pradesh Stall was inaugurated by Union Joint Secretary New and Renewable Energy Mr. Tarun Kapoor. He apprised himself of renewable energy works in Madhya Pradesh. At present, solar energy capacity in the state is 685 MW. It would be increased to 1500 MW by March 2017 thorough under construction solar energy plants in the state. Asia’s biggest 130 MW solar power plant is already working at Neemuch. NTPC is also establishing a 350 MW solar plant at Mandsaur. Through the exhibition, domestic and foreign investors are being informed about potential of solar energy in Madhya Pradesh.
