Public representatives role significant in city’s development

Mr. Shukla reviews Swarg project for development of Rewa

Bhopal, December 5, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan):   Public Relations Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla has said that public representatives’ role is significant in all-round development of city. He said that all public representatives must partner in efforts to make Rewa clean, shining, free from open-area defecation and ensure systematic traffic. Mr. Shukla was reviewing Swarg Project at Rewa today. Mr. Shukla said that a system has to be evolved to keep with city clean and associate people with this system. He said that door-to-door waste collection system should be expanded to all wards of the city. He urged corporators to get consent letters signed by people of their respective areas so that the project can be implemented there. The Minister informed that municipal corporation is purchasing a Rs. 1.80 crore sweeping machine to ensure proper cleanliness on major city roads.

He directed Commissioner Municipal Corporation to prescribe 3 transfer points and provide containers and rickshaws to concerning agency. The Minister desired all corporators active initiative to eradicate open-area defecation in Rewa city. He said that better arrangements of water, power and sanitation should be ensured at public toilets. A committee would constantly monitor Sulabh Complexes in the city. He also held discussions on improvement in traffic system, ridding it of jams and reduce crowd pressure.
