International herbal fair from today

Bhopal, December 11, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan):  International Herbal Fair will be held here at Lal Parade Ground from December 11 to 15. Along with display of minor forest produce, the annual fair also gives an opportunity for their marketing. Theme of the Fair to be held this year under joint aegis of Forest Department and Rajya Laghu Vanopaj Sangh is ‘Forest Produce for Human Welfare’. Apart from stalls of herbal products, the Fair will also have exhibitions of various government departments, free of cost health examination and consultation by experienced Ayurveda doctors, food court of delicacies etc. Various competitions will be held in the evening daily participated by school and college students. Cultural programmes will also be held in the evenings of December 12, 13 and 14. The fair will have about 300 stalls. Along with Madhya Pradesh, participants from Maharashtra, Bihar, Assam, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Chhattisgarh and other states have already given consent.

Besides, representatives from neighbouring countries like Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh will also participate. During the Fair, a technical workshop will be held on December 12, and programme for exchange of experiences about minor forest produce on December 13. In the morning of December 14, main attraction would be buyer-seller meet. The Fair will help forest produce collectors, marketers, food processors etc. and other stakeholders with interact with each other and promote business.
