CM Mr. Chouhan reviews revenue collection


cmreve13.12.15Bhopal, December 13, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):  Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed revenue collection here today. He directed officers to achieve targets for revenue collection within time-limit. Mr. Chouhan said that revenue collection is necessary to development and public welfare. Those present at the meeting at Mantralaya included Finance Minister Mr. Jayant Malaiya, Chief Secretary Mr. Anthony de Sa, ACS Finance Mr. A.P. Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Commercial Taxes Mr. Manoj Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Forests Mr. Deepak Khandekar, Principal Secretary Transport Mr. S.N. Mishra, Principal Secretary Finance Mr. Ashish Upadhyay etc.

The Chief Minister reviewed situation of collection from revenue and taxation in the state. He said that development and public welfare works will be undertaken through revenue. He held intensive discussions with officers in connection with various taxation revenues. He apprised himself of excise, stamp & registration, entry tax, professional tax, VAT/GST, minerals revenue, forestry, vehicle tax etc. Excise Commissioner Mr. Rakesh Shrivastava, Commissioner Commercial Taxes Mr. Raghavendra Singh, Transport Commissioner Mr. Shailendra Shrivastava, Director General Registration & Stamps Mrs. Deepali Rastogi, Commissioner Public Relations Mr. Anupam Rajan and officers associated with revenue collection attended the meeting.
