Finance Minister Mr. Malaiya participates in Kshipra cleaning drive

Hundreds of people volunteer labour for cleaning Kshipra

Bhopal, December 14, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):  Lakhs of devotees will take bath in river of salvage Kshipra during Simhastha-2016. Kshipra cleaning drive is being undertaken by district administration in collaboration with people. Finance Minister Mr. Jayant Malaiya took part in the drive at Triveni Ghat on Sunday. He also performed Kshipra Aradhana to launch the drive. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh has directed that one minister of the state government should take part in Kshipra cleaning drive at Ujjain every week. Those who also took part in today’s cleaning drive included Simhastha Central Committee’s Chairman Mr. Makhan Singh, Mayor Mrs. Meena Jonewal, Vice Chairman of State Finance Commission Mr. Babulal Jain, MLA Dr. Mohan Yadav and administrative officers. On Sunday, Kshipra cleaning drive was undertaken from Triveni Ghat upto Chakrateerth. Representatives of several organizations also took part in the drive. They included Bagad Packaging, Grasim, Ultratech, District Agriculture Produce Federation, Hotel Imperial group, Ujjain Disposal group, Ujjain Oil Merchants Association, Daulat Sangh and traders associations.

Later, Finance Minister Mr. Malaiya reviewed Simhastha preparations at a meeting at Ujjain. He said that clean water will be supplied to devotees for Holy Dip during Simhastha. The meeting was informed that carry bags made of paper and cloth are being provided to sellers of Prasad through women’s self-help groups to eradicate use of polythene in Mahakal area. Finance Minister lauded this initiative of district collector. He said that Ujjain district should be made polythene-free. Bank loans have been provided to 11 women of Ujjain city’s self-help groups for making bags of paper and cloth.
