Mr. Gaur directs to complete capping of Bhanpur dumping site soon
Bhopal, December 19, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Home and Jails Minister Mr. Babulal Gaur felicitated Mr. Laiq Ahmad of ward 73 Narayan Nagar here today. During the Minister’s visit of ward 73, citizens informed him that Mr. Laiq Ahmad has donated his 800 square feet plot for temple at Narayan Nagar Colony. Temple’s Kalash was also laid Mr. Laiq. Mr. Gaur felicitated Mr. Laiq Ahmad by garlanding him. Mr. Ahmad informed that he has 2 plots. He has donated one of them to the temple and is constructing his house on another. He said that he feels joy in donating for temples and mosques. Mr. Gaur directed to complete capping of Bhanpur dumping site at the earliest. He said that local people face problems due to waste catching fire from time to time and pollution. This area has hospitals, schools, colleges and several colonies. Municipal corporation has identified 60 acres at another place for dumping ground and relocated population from there. Now, scientific method for dumping waste is being chalked out. Capping of Bhanpur dumping ground would be done in such a way that there would be no problem of pollution. Disposal of methane gas emanating from waste would be done and energy would be generated through waste management.
On this entire exercise and development of waste dump at new place will cost Rs. 300 crore. The work would be completed in 18 months. Mr. Gaur directed to construct road to connect Chandan Nagar with 80 feet wide road at the earliest. He also visited Kutir Nagar, Bhanwar Nagar, J.K. Nagar, Pratap Nagar, Shiv Nagar Phase-2 and 3 and directed for road construction, sanitation and construction of drains. Corporators Miss Tulsa Verma, Mr. Leela Kishan Mali and Mrs. Asha Jain were also present on the occasion.
