Mobile app of teli-rickshaw dedicated
Bhopal, December 20, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan): In the presence of Lok Sabha Speaker Mrs. Sumitra Mahajan, Union Surface Transport Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Indore city received a number of major gifts at Indore today. Atal Bus Service was launched to provide transport facility to people on dense routes in Indore city. Free wi-fi facility was provided under Digital India Programme and mobile application of teli-rickshaw was also dedicated.
The guests flagged off 32 new Midi buses for dense routes of the city. The bus service has been introduced by AISTSL in collaboration with district administration, municipal corporation and Indore Development Authority. Each bus has capacity of convenient seating of 32 passengers. Buses are also quipped with GPS, announcement system and CC TV cameras. High speed internet facility was launched to make Indore a wi-fi city under Digital India Programme. In the first phase, Geonet high speed wi-fi will be available at 55 places. Besides, teli-rickshaw service’s mob app was also launched for easy transport facility for people.
Through it, people will get a number of facilities. Through mobile app, an auto-rickshaw can be booked from anywhere for going to any place in the city. Besides, it can also be known as to where concerning auto-rickshaw is parked, and how much time it will take to reach destination and what will be fare. Security arrangements have also been made. In adverse condition, just one push on a special button on the mobile will connect call to the police. Mayor Mrs. Malini Gaud and Indore Development Authority’s Chairman Mr. Shankar Lawani were also present on the occasion.
