Minister Miss Mahdele participates in Kshipra cleaning drive

People should join friends of Kshipra signature campaign

mahdel21.12.15Bhopal, December 21, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):  Public Health Engineering Minister Miss Kusum Mahdele took part in ongoing Kshipra cleaning campaign at Ujjain today. She also urged people to join Friends of Kshipra Signature Campaign. Chairman of Simhastha Central Committee Mr. Makhan Singh, Chairman of Simhastha Mela Authority Mr. Diwakar Natu, Mayor Mrs. Meena Jonwal, and other officers also took part in Kshipra cleaning drive. Along with participation in the cleaning drive, Minister Miss Mahdele also inspected departmental works. She directed all concerning officers to ensure better preparations for successful Simhastha-2016. She lauded works undertaken by district administration. Miss Mahdele said that she would visit Ujjain again to take part in Kshipra cleaning drive. She informed departmental officers to Public Health Engineering Department has constructed an intake well with modern technology costing Rs. 4 crore 36 lakh.

In intake well, water will be lifted by 6 pumps from depth of 100 feet through sinking well method. She directed to ensure completion of works within time-limit. Miss Mahdele inspected work for under construction 60 water tanks on Panchkroshi Yatra path and digging of 50 tubewells. She also inspected water treatment plant at Sahebkheri being constructed at a cost of Rs. 5 crore 40 lakh 10 thousand. Its capacity is 1.75 MGD. Necessary arrangements are being made for water during Simhastha. Under the drive, Kshipra river was cleaned from Sunahari Ghat to Shamshan Ghat. Officers and employees of Dairy Federation, Fisheries Federation, Jan-Abhiyan Parishad, members of Gayatri Parivar and various departments took part in the drive during which 40 trolley loads of silt was removed.
