Workshop on revival of sick industries for first time

scindia23.12.15Bhopal, December 23, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):  Industries Minister Mrs. Yashodhara Raje Scindia has said that soon a regional centre of Indian Institute of Packaging will be established in Madhya Pradesh. A proposal regarding this would be sent to the Central government soon. Mrs. Scindia was addressing a workshop on revival of sick industries, Ease of Doing Business and vendor development here today. Commissioner Industries Mr. V.L. Kanta Rao was also present.

The Minister said that in deference to wish of Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, all types of industrial units need to be promoted. With this in view, sick industrial units would be revived. Mrs. Scindia said that this workshop is being held for detailed discussions on removal of problems and hurdles coming in the way of sick industries revival with the assistance of government. She said that a database of district level will also be prepared by identifying sick industrial units. She directed to also upload information regarding policies of other departments which help MSMEs on departmental website. The Minister also discussed with office-bearers of CII, Laghu Udyog Bharti and various industries on revival of sick industries and suggestions under Ease of Doing Business.
