Bhopal, December 25, 2015 (Muslim Saleem): Giving New Year gift to Adhyapak cadre, Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced to give them 6th Pay Scale from January 1, 2016. The decision will benefit one lakh 84 thousand Adhyapaks in the state. It will entail a fiscal burden of Rs. 1125 crore on the state exchequer. Giving information about extension of Pay Scale to Adhyapaks in Mumbai today, the Chief Minister informed that since year 2004, the state government has been showing maximum concern towards the teachers who raise future generations. The contractual teachers appointed earlier were made Adhyapaks and then Adhyapak cadre was formally constituted. The state government has constantly increased their wages and honorarium. The Chief Minister said that he feels happy while saying that the government has received better results. These days, students studying in government schools are succeeding in prestigious exams like IIT and IIM. For this, the Chief Minister congratulated government school teachers imparting teaching with dutifulness.
He said that despite drawing low salaries and honorarium, teachers have paid maximum attention to children’s education. He said that results of government schools in Board exams have also improved. The Chief Minister said that it is not turn of the government to have concern for teachers. Therefore, the state government has decided to give 6th Pay Scale to Adhyapaks from January 1, 2016 which was earlier scheduled to be given from September 1, 2017.
