Bhopal, December 29, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan): ON THE third day of 61st National School Games organised under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh School Education Department and SGFI from December 25 to December 30 saw amazing participation of students. On Sunday, in Hockey (Boys) competition, Kerala, Goa, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and IPSC were declared winners. While in Hockey (Girls), played at Major Dhyanchand Stadium, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Orissa, UP, Punjab were winners. In 61st National School Games (Fencing) was held at TT Nagar Stadium in which girls and boys participated actively and the results were announced on Saturday. In Rope skipping under 17, played at Model School, TT Nagar, the final results were declared in which the event was free style, New Delhi stood at first position, Tamil Nadu was at second position and Gujarat was at third position.
While in under 19, Madhya Pradesh stood at first position with 44 scores scored by Vedika Verma, Nimisha Menon, Ayushi Namdev and Srabani Sarkar. New Delhi stood second and Goa stood third. In Double Dutch Freestyle, again Madhya Pradesh stood first with 57 scores secured by Abhijeet Muley, Abhishek Muley and Chandra P Singh whereas Maharashtra was at second position and New Delhi was at third position. Under 61st National School Games under 17 girls EPEE team, Chandigarh won first position, Punjab won second and third position was secured by Haryana and Manipur. Convenor of the National School Games (Fencing) was Manula Shukla, Technical Chief was Bhupinder Singh, and Tournament Director was Hijam Hemjit Meetei.
