Mrs. Maya Singh takes part in Kshipra cleaning drive

lead4.1.16Bhopal, January 4, 2016 (Muslim Saleem):   Thousands of people participated in Kshipra cleaning drive amidst playing of motivation songs like ‘Sathi Hath Bardhana’ and ‘Ham Honge Kamyab from Angareshwar to Siddhwat at Ujjain on Sunday. Women & Child Development Minister Mrs. Maya Singh also volunteered labour during the drive and lauded it. MLA Dr. Mohan Yadav, Principal Secretary Women and Child Development Mr. J.N. Kansotiya, Commissioner Integrated Child Development Service Mrs. Pushplata Singh and Collector Mr. Kavindra Kiyawat also took part in the drive.

Minister Mrs. Singh said that Ujjain is a centre of devotion for entire world. She said that ideological Mahakumbh will be held during Simhastha. Its conclusion will give a new direction to the world. Mrs. Singh said that role of Women and Child Development Department will be significant during Simhastha. During it, members of Shaurya Dal will be deployment for women’s safety.

  The team members are being trained with the assistance of police. During Simhastha, the department will also publicise important issues like women’s empowerment and female foeticide. Lost & Found Centres will be set up on Mela premises. Large number of people participated in river cleaning drive and took resolve for Kshipra cleaning through signature campaign. Over 100 trolley load of silt was removed from the river from Angareshwar upto Sidhhwat Ghat. Minister Mrs. Singh inaugurated sewing training centre at Central Jail. She said that arrangements have been made under Women’s Empowerment Scheme to impart training to distressed women as per trade of their choice.

The Minister felicitated mothers of newborn girl children. She said that the state government has implemented schemes for welfare of girls right form birth for their bright future. She urged people to educate girls and make them self-reliant. The Minister participated in Rahgiri Day. MP Mr. Chintamani Malviya was also present on the occasion. The Minister inaugurated 150 e-Rickshaws. She said that these e-Rickshaws will be helpful in ensuring clean atmosphere during Simhastha. The Minister inspected and praised an exhibition put up by Public Relations Department where photographs of Simhastha-2004 and of preparations for Simhastha-2016 have been displayed impressively.
