CM community leadership ability development course begins

Over 12 thousand candidates selected

Bhopal, January 6, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):  In all, 12 thousand 546 candidates have been selected under CM Community Leadership Ability Development course which include 75 percent females. The graduation course in social work has been started at Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodyog Vishwavidyalaya. Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Maya Singh informed that community leadership ability in social and economic sectors will be inculcated in class XII students of 18 to 25 years of age comprising 75 percent female students. Candidates from all 51 districts have been selected for the course which commenced from July 2015. Apart from 2040 Project Officers and anganwadi workers, 12 thousand 546 candidates from 89 tribal development blocks of Tribal Welfare Department and 224 general development blocks have taken admission in the course. Under Community Leadership Ability Development programme, 1500 candidates were admitted in year 2014-15, 10,000 in 2015-16 and 10,000 in 2016-17. For year 2017-18 also, 10,000 trainees will be selected. Classes of first session of trainees selected during last 3 years have started in all 51 districts.
