“E-Marg” to monitor maintenance of PMGSY roads

Bhopal, January 9, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):   ‘E-Marg’ portal has been evolved in Madhya Pradesh to monitor maintenance of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana roads in the state. On it, entire details about maintenance of roads will be uploaded. ‘E-Marg’ software has been evolved by Madhya Pradesh Rural Roads Development Authority and National Informatics Centre, Bhopal. On it, Authority’s officers upload photographs snapped by them during inspection of road maintenance work. Contractors also send bills against accomplished works on this portal. Online payment is made to contractors on the basis of works’ photographs and inspection report. So far, details of 12 thousand roads and about 31 thousand inspection photographs have been uploaded on this portal. People can also use ‘E-Marg’ to register any complaint regarding rural roads.

For this, they should take a photograph of concerning route with GPS enabled mobile phone. GPS of both mobile and camera should be ‘on’. Complainants can send their complaints through their mobiles with photographs on https://gismp.nic.in/eMarg/main.html. Following it, complainant will receive complaint number on his mobile. Authority’s General Manager will register this complaint on the portal. Concerning complainant can know status of complaint’s redressal on the portal.
