Bhopal, January 10, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Shaurya Dals will play a significant role in maintaining order during Simhastha-2016. In this regard, the department has handed over its action plan to district administration and Central Mela Committte. Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Maya Singh informed that all Shaurya Dal teams constituted in 7 districts of Ujjain division will actively participate in Simhastha-2016. Mela area will have 10 Shaurya centres, which would provide service to people in 3 shifts from 5 am to 1 am. She informed that during Simhastha, there is heavy rush at bus stands and railway stations of Ujjain’s nearby districts Agar, Dewas, Ratlam and Shajapur. Shaurya Dal members will also be deployed there to assist devotees. Each team comprising 5 members will function in 3 shifts.
Special training for alertness and monitoring in view of Simhastha-2016 will be imparted to Shaurya Dal members. Apart from helping women and children in need immediately, the members will also assist in locating missing persons, advice and guide devotees, inform control room immediately about suspicious elements, help disabled persons and contribute in maintenance of sanitation and hygiene.
Shaurya Dals will also assist police and district administration in crowd management. Along with cooperating with Health Department for treatment facilities, Shaurya Dal members will also inform officers of Women and Child Development Department immediately on locating child beggars. All members will be provided 2 sets of uniform so that people can identify them and seek their help.
