Bhopal, January 23, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Raisen District Minor Forest Produce Co-operative Union presented a memorandum to Forest Minister Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar here today to increase tendupatta collection rates. The Minister assured to increase rates following discussions with the Chief Minister. At present, rates of tendupatta collection are Rs. 950 per standard bag. Dr. Shejwar said that the government is considering to uplift tendupatta collectors and increase their facilities. The Minister said that a mega convention of tendupatta collectors will also be held at Bhopal soon. Minimum one representative from every Minor Forest Produce Union will take part in it. The memo was submitted by Vice President of District Minor Forest Produce Union Mr. Ashok Singh Thakyur and General Secretary Mr. Rammu Thakur and other office-bearers.
