Bhopal, January 29, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): A college will be opened at Kolar here from next academic session. A sum of Rs. 7 crore 20 lakh has been sanctioned for construction of government Benazir Science & Commerce college at Kolar. Higher and Technical Education Minister Mr. Umashankar Gupta performed Bhumi Pujan of the college building here today. He said that there would be no lack of funds for its construction. As per requirement, teaching of all subjects will be introduced at Benazir College, Kolar. Mr. Gupta said that Madhya Pradesh has witnessed remarkable achievements in every sector during last 12 years.
In important sectors in the country, the state stands at first to third place. He said that conferment of Krishi Karman Award to the state for consecutive fourth time is in itself a major achievement. MLA Mr. Rameshwar Sharma said that Kolar area will be provided drinking water from Kerwa dam in December 2016. Sewerage line will be laid by year 2017. He said that 4 parallel roads are being constructed to connect Kolar with Bhopal. Two bridges, and as many flyovers are also proposed. Wholesale vegetable market costing Rs. 2 crore is also being constructed. Besides, construction of crematorium costing Rs. 2 crore has already been completed.
