EOIs worth Rs. 197 crore inked at reverse buyer-seller meet

MP Exportech concludes at Gwalior in presence of Zimbabwean ambassador Mr. Ranga

Isu1.2.16Bhopal, February 1, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Madhya Pradesh’s products were chosen by importers and buyers from over 20 countries on the last day of 9th MP Exportech at Gwalior today. As many as 60 expressions of Interest (EOIs) worth Rs. 196 crore 49 lakh were signed at Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet at Exportech Facilitation centre on premises of Gwalior Trade Fair. The 3-day expo attended by envoys, importers and buyers from all over the world and state’s entrepreneurs concluded on Sunday. Chief guest Zimbabwean Ambassador Mr. Maxwell Ranga said that Madhya Pradesh government has adopted ‘Make in India’ as ‘Make in Madhya Pradesh’. He welcomed bilateral trades between both the countries. He said that in his country, hotel business is done on large scale. Diamonds, gold, agro and liquor production is high.

Zimbabwe seeks greater mutual cooperation with Indian government to promote these businesses. Mr. Ranga said that the Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet held by Madhya Pradesh will promote business. LUN’s MD and Commissioner Industries Mr. V.L. Kanta Rao congratulated buyers and guests from other countries and state’s sellers. He said that not only commercial agreements have been signed at the Meet, but a new beginning of relations has also been made. Mr. Kanta Rao said that 9th MP Exportech has set in motion long-standing new transactions.

Mr. S.K. Jain of CII proposed a vote of thanks towards buyers-sellers, public representatives and other concerning persons for extending cooperation in conduct of Exportech. Envoys of various countries also attended the Meet. During it, 74 importers, buyers and business consultants from 21 countries executed commercial transactions. Foreign buyers executed transactions during one-to-one meetings wth local sellers. As many as 92 entrepreneurs from Gwalior, Chambal and other regions of the state had put up 120 stalls at the Meet.
