Food & civil supplies minister Kunwar Shah undertakes review at Ujjain
Bhopal, February 2, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Food and Civil Supplies Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah has directed to provide quality rice of Balaghat and Katni on fixed rates as per demand of saints and seers during Simhastha. Its arrangements should be ensured right away. The Minister reviewed progress of action plan for arrangements of gas cylinders and food stuff during Simhastha at a meeting at Ujjain on Sunday. The meeting was informed that 16 loading vehicles will be deployed for distribution of food stuff and gas cylinders. These vehicles will supply materials to ashrams and akhadas.
Temporary ration cards will be issued to saints and seers following verification of land allotment to them. Temporary connections will be given for Mela period. Every sector will have 2 ration shops, one gas agency, 2 milk parlours as well as shops at fixed distance to supply vegetables, fruits and grocery. The meeting was informed that at present, daily consumption of petrol in Ujjain city is 56 thousand litres and diesel 76 thousand litres.
It is estimated that in addition to this consumption, during Simhastha petrol consumption will be 76 thousand litres and diesel 90 thousand litres. For this, 12 temporary petrol pumps will be opened. Chairman of Simhastha Central Committee Mr. Makhan Singh and MLA Dr. Mohan Yadav also attended the meeting.
