Directives for speedy action on pending projects

CM meets Union Mining and Steel Minister Mr. Tomar

lead7.2.16Bhopal, February 7, 2016 (Muslim Saleem):  Early action should be taken on projects MoUs for which have been signed with public undertakings under Union Mines and Steel Ministry. These directives were given during a meeting of Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan with Union Mines and Steel Minister Mr. Narendra Singh Tomar here today. Mr. Tomar said that the state government can send proposals to Centre for expanding mining area of various mines. The meeting was informed that Steel Authority of India is planning to establish a steel plant in Chhatarpur district. It will provide employment to about 5 thousand persons.

Similarly, MOIL is planning to establish a plant in Balaghat district. NMDC has projects for mining exploration in Tikamgarh and Panna district. Hindustan Copper Limited is working on underground mining in Balaghat district. NALCO has proposed to set up alumina refinery in the state. Chief Secretary Mr. Anthony de Sa, Principal Secretary to CM Mr. Iqbal Singh Bains, Commissioner Minerals Mr. Ajatshatru, in-charge Secretary Mining Mr. Anupam Rajan and Personal Secretary to Union Mines and Steel Minister Mr. Nikunj Shrivastava were also present.
