Mela area to have 1500 kiosks, 300 changing rooms; 5 lakh carry bags to be provided
Bhopal, February 8, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Various social organisations have offered to provide free services to devotees during Simhastha at Ujjain from April 22 to May 21. Major proposals made by 40 social organisations include installation of LED screens to apprise devotees of traffic, whitewashing of walls and writing messages on them, arrangements of dustbins at various places, uniforms for volunteers, arrangements for stay and food for devotees etc. Some organisations have even proposed to stage street plays focusing on Swachchhata Abhiyan. Some organisations have offered to provide umbrellas to devotees to save them from summer heat during Simhastha.
The free facilities to be provided by social organisations will include about 300 changing rooms at ghats, 1500 water kiosks, 5000 dustbins, 65 thousand carry bags, 5000 volunteers, 160 LED screens, 500 paper bags, 10 thousand sign boards carrying message of cleanliness, 600 maps, wall paintings in 25 thousand square feet area, 100 welcome arches, 2500 life jackets, 651 help centres, 459 Lost & Found centres, 200 flying balloons, 1000 mobile charging points, 5 lakh bags for shopkeepers and 20 thousand jackets for government servants.
Theses offers have been given by Yuva Shiv Sena, Gau Raksha Nyas, Bairwa Mahasabha, Indore, Sharma Media Service, Chitra Advertising, Najmi Charitable Trust, Reliance Geo Infra Com, Airtel, Mahakal Dharmik Channel, Sanatan Charitable Trust, Indian Medical Association, Dainik Bhaskar, Apollo Indore, Mumbai Maha Vaishaya Sammelan, Gayatri Samajik Kalyan, Messrs Tank Chhate, Indore, Reliance Broadcast Network, Bharat Sewa Shram Sangh, Kolkata, Ullas Foundation, New Delhi and Jwala Mahila Samiti etc.
