Health camp to benefit patients in tribal areas

Bhopal, February 14, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):  State government is implementing a number of welfare schemes for health and education of common people. About 2000 health centres are being opened in tribal areas of the state. In these health centres, 48 types of tests and operations will be conducted free of cost. Medicines will also be provided free. Minister of State for Health Mr. Sharad Jain stated this while inaugurating mega free health camp at Shahdol today. The camp was organised under joint aegis of Madhya Pradesh unit of Rajkrishna Tankha Foundational, Rotary Club and state government. Mr. Jain said that the camp will benefit patients in the area. Mr. Jain said that maternal and infant mortality rate has come down in the state due to expansion of health facilities. Dialysis machines are being installed for treatment of renal diseases in government hospitals. For expansion of health facilities, 7 medical colleges including Shahdol are being opened in the state. Former Advocate General of Madhya Pradesh and senior advocate of Supreme Court Mr. Vivek Tankha said that operations and treatment of serious diseases will be undertaken free of cost under one roof during the 6-day camp. MLA Mr. Jai Singh Marawi said that the camp will benefit tribal patients of the area.
