Single-table system implemented for investment in Madhya Pradesh

CM Mr. Chouhan’s address at “Make in India” week in Mumbai

lead18.2.16Bhopal, February 18, 2016 (Muslim Saleem):  Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that country’s integrated development is possible only through all-round development of states. He said that concept on single-table instead of single-window is being concretised in Madhya Pradesh to promote investment. The Chief Minister was addressing “Make in India” week programme during Madhya Pradesh government’s presentation in Mumbai today. Commerce and Industries Minister Mrs. Yashodhara Raje Scindia was also present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh has been developed as ideal state for investment. The state is not only an island of peace, but has also 24X7 power supply, adequate water for industries and progressive policies for industries, textiles, defence manufacturing and food processing for convenience of investors.

The Chief Minister said that along with being an agrarian state, Madhya Pradesh has also got trained labourers, technical education apart form simple and investment-friendly labour laws. He said that unnecessary inspections of factories have been abolished. The Chief Minister invited those present at the programme to Simhastha to be held at Ujjain from April 22 to May 21. He said that Madhya Pradesh has shrugged off tag of sick state and joined country’s pioneer states. Madhya Pradesh’s 3 cities have been included in Smart City Project. Not only industries, the state has also made strides in tourism sector.

Recently, attractive tourist destination has been developed at Hanuwantiya in Khandwa district of the state. He urged investors to visit the state to enjoy its tourist destinations even if they do not invest in the state. Commerce and Industries Minister Mrs. Scindia enumerated 4 landmarks of state’s industrial development. These include leadership, location, labour and land bank. She said that the state has witnessed growth beyond imagination under leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Investment in the state is both reliable and safe. Chief Secretary Mr. Anthony de Sa gave a presentation on industrial potential and arrangements in the state. He also informed about new measures being taken in tourism sector in the state.
