No fee from SC students in govt colleges from next academic session

lead23.2.16Bhopal, February 23, 2016 (Muslim Saleem):  Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that no fee would be charged from SC students in government colleges from next academic session. Mr. Chouhan was addressing Sant Ravidas Mahakumbh at Maihar in Satna district today. He said that fee for SC students in technical and medical colleges will be borne by the government. The Chief Minister said that Sant Ravidas Shraddha Kendras will be set up at selected places in the state where literature pertaining to Sant Ji will be available. The Chief Minister also announced 2 awards. Sant Ravidas Karmath Udyami Puraskar carrying Rs. 5 lakh will be given to successful SC entrepreneurs and Samajik Samrasta Puraskar carrying Rs. 2 lakh for all sections. The Chief Minister announced that Mahakumbh will be organised every year by the state government on Sant Ravidas Jayanti every year. A grand temple of Sant Ravidas will be constructed at Sant Ravidas Ashram near renowned Sharda Mata Mandir ‘s hillock. A well facilitated community hall and Ashray Sthal will also be built. The Chief Minister said that Sant Shiromani Ravidas is pioneer among seers who filled new life, hope and enthusiasm among distressed and downtrodden sections. His teachings have capability to show proper path to directionless humanity.

He was a great saint who motivated society to shun narrow-minded thinking of caste and class discrimination. Referring to government schemes for welfare of scheduled castes, Mr. Chouhan said that tuition fee would not be charged from SC students in government colleges from next academic session.  The Chief Minister said that Sant Ravidas had said that every person should be provided food grains and social disparity ended. Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay was also of the same opinion.

Madhya Pradesh government has made maximum efforts to put into practices both great persons’ teachings. All poor persons and scheduled caste-tribes families are being provided wheat, rice and salt at Re. one per kg from ration shops. The Chief Minister said that in Maihar, names of all left out BPL beneficiaries were included in BPL list by conducting a campaign. Maihar Model will be implemented in entire state.

He said that poor families occupying government land for years will be given housing lease deed. The government will also give them assistance to build houses. No poor person will be without his own house by year 2022. The Chief Minister said that Gyanodaya Vidyalayas will be opened for SC students in every division. Mr. Chouhan urged people to educate their children without any worry. The state government’s schemes will help them study and set up industries.
