Sonorous Bhajans of Malini Awasthi weave magic
Bhopal, February 27, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Cultural programme ‘Anugooj-3’ in context of Simhastha concluded at Ramghat at Ujjain on Thursday. On the concluding day of the 3-day event, eminent Bhojpuri Bhajan singer left the audience spell-bound with her melodious performance. Miss Malini began her performance with Bhajan dedicated to Lord Mahakal ‘Om Nama: Shivaye….. Dum Dum Damru Baje Wala Hamar Jogiya Re’. Her second presentation was ‘Shiv Ke Swaroop Baba Mahakal Jine Jane Sara Jag Nathan Ke Nath, Sare Jagwa Main Phaili Anjor Baba Bholenath Ki’.
Audience also heartily responded to her third Bhajan ‘Maiyya Khol Na Kiwadiya…. Badi Der Se Khadi’. She was accompanied by Mohammad Akhlaq on banjo, Mukesh on tabla, Anil on Dholak, Lalit on octapad and Sachin Gupta on synthesizer. The 3-day music and song eve organised jointly by Culture Department and district administration had begun on Tuesday with performance by eminent Pandvani singer Teejan Bai. On the second day i.e. Wednesday, Mrs. Sanjo Baghel’s Bhajans hade caste a magic spell. Spectators and music lovers of Ujjain will remember this event for long.
