1000 trained firemen to render service
Bhopal, March 2, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): For firefighting and prevention of fire in Simhastha Mela area in Ujjain, 16 temporary fire stations, 20 fire points and 8 fire motorcycle points are being set up. As many as 1000 trained firemen, Home Guards and municipal employees will render these services in Simhastha from April 22 to May 21. Temporary telephones have also been made available for communication at Dial-101 and all fire stations. These telephone numbers are being displayed at important place in Mela area.
It was informed that a team of 12 trained officers from various districts to be deployed for firefighting and prevention of fire in Simhastha Mela area visited all temporary constructions in all 6 zones and gave important tips to saints & seers, contractors of tents and electricity and people engaged in management to prevent fire. Banners, pamphlets and other publicity materials were also distributed for awareness.
All nationalized banks are making preparations to provide banking facilities to devotees during Simhastha. They would complete installation related works by March 15. ATMs would be set up on all Akhada premises. About 12 to 15 lakh devotees will stay daily during Simhastha. State Bank of India will launch special pre-paid Simhastha Card in the first week of April. Its limit will be Rs. 5000. Swipe machines will also be installed on Akhada premises.
