Grand media centre to be made in Dutt Akhada in Simhastha

Media coverage passes invited online

Bhopal, March 6, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):  A grand media centre will be made on 10 thousand square feet in Dutt Akhada zone for necessary facilities for coverage to local, national and international media during Simhastha at Ujjain from April 22 to May 1. Public Relations Department has acquired land for media centre. The media centre will be hi-tech. downlink of Door Darshan’s coverage and live telecast facility will be available there. The media centre will be connected with optical fibre high speed internet with 50 computers, video converter ATP facility and 20 computer-equipped halls. A 300-seat hall is also being constructed for press briefings. Four LSC TV sets and 5 rooms would be for officers and 5 rooms for electronic media and senior editors. The centre will also have public toilets and dormitory. As many as 50 mobile recharge points have been made in the media centre. Fax and scanning machines will also be available. Like Dutt Akhada, a media centre is also being set up at Mangalnath. Except press briefing, the centre will have all other facilities. For media’s convenience, 16 sub-media centres also being set up. They would have broadband connection, computer sets, photocopiers, high speed printers, scanners and mobile recharge points.  Public Relations Department has invited online applications for passes for coverage and publicity of Simhastha from media persons from the country and aboard.

Media persons from the country can submit online applications on and international media persons on Online forms can also be submitted online on Ujjain Public Relations Office’s website March 31, 2016 is the last date for submitting online applications. Arrangements have been made to accept applications for passes from state’s media persons at Directorate of Public Relations, Bhopal. Press passes will also be made available to media persons from Divisional Public Relations Office, Ujjain.
