Bhopal, March 8, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Thousands of devotees had started queuing up for Darshan of Lord Bholenath in view of Mahashivratri before opening of the gates of Mahakal Mandir in evening at Ujjain today. This time the district administration introduced new arrangements for Darshan, which were lauded by common devotees. They said, ‘This time very good arrangements were made. This was the first trial of Darshan arrangements in view of Simhastha.
For the first time, devotees were also allowed to have Darshan through Mahakal tunnel. Devotees were having Darshan of Lord Mahakal within half an hour. About lesser time taken for Darshan, the devotees said that such arrangements should also be made during Simhastha. These arrangements also made devotees happy. Devotees entering Mahakal Mandir from Harsiddhi Mandir side were depositing their footware on Harsiddhi road. From there, the footwares were being sent in cloth bags after numbering through e-rickshaws to footware stand near exit gate.
Along with arrangements of Darshan for common people, separate arrangements were also made for donors of Rs. 151, media persons and VIPs. Devotees also enjoyed attractive illumination on Mahakal Mandir. Prasadi counters were set up near Anadi Kalpeshwar Mandir.
