State government’s arrangements for Simhastha laudable

Mr. Digvijay Das urges to disseminate message of sanitation to masses

Bhopal, March 10, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):  The state government has undertaken a number of important construction and development works in Simhastha Mela area and Ujjain for Simhastha-2016. These works have transformed the city and added to its beauty. All should cooperate in disseminating message of sanitation, which is key to health.  This was stated by 75 years old Mahant Mr. Prem Giri Maharaj and Mahant Mr. Digvijay Das of Akhil Bharatiya Mr. Panch Ramanandiya Nirwani Akhada and Mr. Shambhu Atal Akhada, respectively at Ujjain on Tuesday. They said that the administration has undertaken works keeping in view requirements of all Akhadas. They said that it would be their 6th Simhastha. A lot of changes have been made in Ujjain city for Simhastha. State government’s praiseworthy initiative has made Ujjain extraordinarily beautiful. In-charge Minister puts persons holding constitutional posts in VIP category. At a meeting of higher officers at Ujjain on Tuesday, In-charge Minister of Ujjain district Mr. Bhupendra Singh took a historic decision regarding arrangements for Darshan of Mahakal during Simhastha-2016. He directed the district administration to place only persons holding constitutional post in VIP category for Mahakal Darshan. No one else would be regarded as VIP. Proper arrangements for Darshan by common people should be ensured.

Now, local police will not be deployed for security on Mahakal Mandir premises. Security arrangements should be handed over security forces from outside Ujjain. Simhastha Central Committee’s Chairman Mr. Makhan Singh and officers attended the meeting.  During discussions on saints and seers, Mr. Singh said that their honour is government’s top priority. Accordingly, they are being extended maximum cooperation in land allotment and construction of Akhadas.

During Simhastha, entire arrangements will be in deference to sentiments and dignity of seers. Minister Mr. Singh assured members of Central Committee that changes would be made in arrangements for footwear stands adopted on Mahakal Mandir premises on Mahashivratri. Efforts should be made to ensure that devotees get back their footwears and other material at the place where they deposit them.
