CM undertakes review at meeting of cabinet sub-committee on Simhastha-2016

lead11.3.16Bhopal, March 11, 2016 (Muslim Saleem):  Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan undertook detailed review of activities and works for Simhastha-2016 at a meeting of Cabinet sub-committee on Simhastha-2016 here today. He directed Principal Secretaries of all concerning departments to inspect Simhastha Mela area as a team and ensure completion of remaining works by the end of March. Mr. Chouhan undertook detailed review of Simhastha-related works of PWD, PHE, Food & Civil Supplies and Home departments. The meeting was informed that all preparations have been completed. Ujjain city is all set for Simhastha. Some preparations are in final stage and would be completed by March end. The Chief Minister said that Simhastha should be held with grandeur and dignity. Seers as well as common people should face no difficulty. It is a matter of state government’s prestige. Simhastha-2016 is a unique event in the world in several respects. Therefore, there is no shortage of funds for it. The incomplete works should be completed at the earliest.

He directed local and state administration to work as a team. Water Resources Minister Mr. Jayant Malaiya, Ujjain district’s in-charge and Transport Minister Mr. Bhupendra Singh, Public Relations Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla, Minister of State for Culture Mr. Surendra Patwa, Minister of State for Urban Development and Environment Mr. Lal Singh Arya, Chief Secretary Mr. Anthony de Sa and Principal Secretaries of concerning departments attended the meeting.
