Forest land lease deed holders to get incentive for plantation

shejr16.3.16Bhopal, March 16, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):  In the state, forest land lease deed holders will be motivated to undertake plantation for forestry and horticulture. A meeting of departmental advisory committee chaired by Forest Minister Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar here today was informed that forest land lease deed holders in Seoni, Balaghat and Shajapur districts are being motivated to undertake plantation of medicinal plants and species of fruit-bearing trees. MLA Members of the committee Mr. Mahendra Keshar Singh Chouhan, Mr. Rajendra Shyamlal Dadu and Mrs. Sheela Tyagi attended the meeting. The Minister informed that divisional forest officers have been delegated powers to transfer less than one hectare forest land for development works in forest areas. He directed to hold special workshops of forest employees at regional level to enable them for better communication with villagers. Suggestions were given about compensation against crop loss by wild boars, disposal of claims under Forest Rights Act etc. The Minister directed to simplify process to provide compensation against crop loss. ACS Mr. Deepak Khandekar, PCCF and Chief of Forest Force Mr. Narendra Kumar and senior departmental officers also attended the meeting.
