325 km long electricity lines charged in Simhastha Mela area

Bhopal, March 30, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):  For electricity arrangements during Simhastha from April 22 to May 21, electricity lines measuring 325 kms have been charged. In Mela area, 75 km long lines of 11 KV and 250 km long low-tension lines have been charged. Streetlights on over 7000 poles in Mela area have been made functional. As many as 450 transformers have also been charged. A plan has been chalked out to supply 100 MW power in Mela area. Zonal officers have been posted to ensure smooth electricity supply. Names and mobile numbers of these officers have been displayed at public places.  Over 5 crore devotees are expected to visit Simhastha at Ujjain. All arrangements are being made keeping this in view. Call centre, mobile app, 22 Sector and 6 Zone offices have been made so that devotees face no difficulty. A platform for collecting database has been prepared for early redressal of complaints. Portal HRMS has been prepared for it, where all complaints and services will be posted.

On registering complaint or demanding service, concerning department’s staff will immediately reach the concerning person. Through the portal, a notification will reach immediately on the mobile of concerning officer to solve the problem. In Mela area, 110 call centres have also been set up. Its toll-free number is 1100. Simhastha Central Committee’s Chairman Mr. Makhan Singh has stressed the need for paying attention to safety of children and women during Simhastha.

He said that for the first time during Simhastha, modern technologies, specially IT are being used. For this, he laid emphasis on better mutual coordination. Mr. Singh was addressing a workshop on safety of children and women at Ujjain today.  Officers of Women’s Empowerment and Revenue departments participated in the workshop. Information was given about Childline 1098. It was informed that Mela area will have 6 lost & found centres connected with internet. Information was also given about Integrated Child Protection Scheme, Prevention of Sexual Crimes against Children Act and establishment of Juvenile Justice Board.
