Advertisement policy for highways to be framed

CM Mr. Chouhan chairs meeting of state road development authority

lead31.3.16Bhopal, March 31, 2016 (Muslim Saleem):  A policy would be framed for advertisements displayed on the sides of highways in the state. Under the policy, guidelines would be chalked out for hoardings, signboards etc on the sites of highways. Draft of the policy was approved at a meeting of the Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh State Road Development Authority chaired by Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan here today. PWD Minister Mr. Sartaj Singh and Chief Secretary Mr. Anthony de Sa also attended the meeting. Mr. Chouhan directed for continuous monitoring of roads’ maintenance works. Better and modern arrangements should be made for collections at toll plazas. The meeting was informed that 21 out of 26 border check-posts being constructed by the Authority have been completed. Tenders have been floated for buildings of Ratlam, Shahdol and Vidisha medical colleges. Work of Sidhi-Singrauli 4-lane is in progress. ACS Finance Mr. A.P. Shrivastava, ACS Forests Mr. Deepak Khandekar, Principal Secretary PWD Mr. Pramod Agrawal, Principal Secretary Urban Development and Environment Mr. Malay Shrivastava, Secretary to CM Mr. Hari Ranjan Rao and MD of Road Development Authority Mr. Manish Rastogi also attended the meeting.
