Intensive training to electricity employees need of hour

Mr. Shukla lays foundation stone for hostel and new office building

shukl1.4.16Bhopal, April 1, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):   Public Relations, Energy, New & Renewable Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla has said that intensive training to workers of power sector is necessary. For it, Power Distribution Training Centre has been constructed at Bhopal. Proper training to electricity workers will also result in better services to consumers. Mr. Shukla laid foundation stone for PDTC hostel at Central Region Power Distribution Company headquarters and new office building its City Division East here today. Mr. Shukla lauded Principal Secretary Energy for issuing order towards implementation of all announcements made by him at workers’ convention at Maihar.

Mr. Shukla said that power is being supplied 24X7 in the state. Special attention should also be paid to revenue recovery. He said that meter reading should be timely so that consumers get bills in time. Mr. Shukla also laid emphasis on reducing gross technical and commercial losses and advised employees to work earnestly with dedication and honesty. Lauding company’s functioning, he said that the company has completed work of RAPDRP ahead of all in the state. MLA Mr. Vishwas Sarang also spoke on the occasion.

PDTC hostel will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 6 crore 29 lakh and new office building its City Division East at a cost of Rs. 45 lakh. Construction of new office building of City Division East will benefit about 70 thousand consumers. Principal Secretary Energy Mr. I.C.P. Kesari, MD of MP Power Management Company Mr. Sanjay Kumar Shukla, MD of Central Region Power Distribution Company Mr. Vivek Porwal, Electricity Employees’ Union President Mr. Hemant Chouhan and Corporator Mrs. Sushma Chouhan were also present on the occasion.
