Camps in all districts for identification and treatment of Down syndrome affected children
Bhopal, April 5, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Secretary Mr. Anthony de Sa inaugurated a camp for identification and treatment of children affected by Down Syndrome on the premises of Jay Prakash District Hospital here today. At the camp, free treatment and necessary advice regarding treatment will be given till April 9. CS said that such camps will be held in every district. CS said that children affected by Down Syndrome need direct support instead of pity.
It is moral duty of all. He said that such efforts increase social unity and harmony. Lauding Bhopal Collector Mr. Nishant Warwade, he stressed the need to ensure arrangements for treatment of children with symptoms of Down Syndrome. Women & Child Development, Health, Social Justice departments and voluntary organizations should collaborate with district administration to help such children, he added.
Mr. Arun Singh who is associated with National Child Health Programme and rendering services to children affected by Down Syndrome was also present on the occasion. Principal Secretary Health Mrs. Gauri Singh, Principal Secretary Women and Child Development Mr. J.N. Kansotiya, Secretary Social Justice Dr. Manohar Aganai and Mission Director NHM Mrs. Jaishree Kiyawat also spoke on the occasion.
