Competitions based on regional cultures to be held

CM Mr. Chouhan inaugurates Vindhya Mahotsav at Rewa

Bhopal, April 5, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):   Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated 5-day Vindhya Mahotsav at Rewa on Saturday. He said that competitions based on regional cultures will be held from next year. Teams with best performance in the competitions will be awarded. The Chief Minister said that this is day of happiness, festivity and dance. Vindhya region has regained its identity after 40 years. He said that today White Tiger Safari has commenced at Mukundpur. It would be made most popular safari in the world. This region’s styles of singing and dance are unique including Kali, Birha, Phagua and Rai. The Chief Minister said that Happiness Ministry will be constituted to ensure happiness and bliss in lives of state’s people. All people of the state should become partners in it. Mr. Chouhan said that it will give me immense pleasure if youths of Rewa and Satna come forward to set up industries to become employers instead of job-seekers. He said that there is nothing impossible in the world. Youths will definitely achieve success in their efforts. Under Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana, the state government is providing Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. one crore loans to youths to set up industries. A separate package will be given to people of Vindhya region for agriculture, industries and business. The Chief Minister said that Bansagar’s islands will be developed. He informed that about Rs. 129 crore has been sanctioned for making available houses to the poor in Rewa Municipal Corporation area. Adequate funds will be provided to the Corporation for development works.

The Chief Minister said that Vindhya will be made most developed region in the country. He urged people of region to extend cooperation in this.  Energy and Public Relations Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla said that world’s largest solar power plant is being set up in region. Rs. 150 crore has been sanctioned for super speciality hospital at Rewa. The Chief Minister has announced to upgrade airstrip to airport. With this, Rewa will be directly connected to Delhi and Mumbai by air. Rewa MP Mr. Janardan Mishra said that soil of region is rich in culture.

This soil has given great musical legend Tansen to the country. Epic like Ramayana has been penned at Chitrakoot. He said that region has witnessed industrial revolution and new vistas of tourism development have been opened up. Satna MP Mr. Ganesh Singh, Rewa Mayor Mrs. Mamta Gupta, MLAs Mrs. Sheela Tyagi, Mrs. Neelam Mishra and Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Backward Classes Finance Commission Mr. Pradeep Patel were also present on the occasion.
