Country head meets women and child development minister Mrs. Maya Singh
Bhopal, April 6, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): UNICEF will inform other states about Sneh Sarokar Yojana of Madhya Pradesh and motivate them to replicate it. UNICEF’s Country Head Mr. Henriette Ahrens gave this information to Women & Child Development Minister Mrs. Maya Singh here today. Mr. Ahrens lauded the scheme. Principal Secretary Women and Child Development Mr. J.N. Kansotiya and Commissioner Integrated Child Development Service Mrs. Pushplata Singh were also present on the occasion. Mrs. Singh said that effective efforts are being made in the state to eradicate and empower women and children. Mrs. Singh hoped that like UNICEF, other organisations will also come forward to spread this work. She also urged UNICEF’s officers to inform about best practices of other states as well to the state. Mrs. Singh also urged UNICEF to increase its technical collaboration and experts’ services. She said that it would help in expanding ICDS services is an effective way to remote areas. Mr. Ahrens lauded progress of Women and Child Department’s programmes, specially Sneh Sarokar innovation. He said that inter-country programmes will be chalked out to apprise state’s officers of best practices in this sector in other countries.
