Permission for opening new private colleges only after fulfillment of conditions

gupta19.4.16Bhopal, April 19, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):  Permission for opening new private colleges should be given only after fulfillment of conditions. This was directed by Higher and Technical Education Minister Mr. Umashankar Gupta during review of departmental schemes here today. Mr. Gupta said that no-objection certificates should not be issued to existing private colleges if they do not construct their buildings despite time given to them. He directed that incomplete college buildings should be completed at the earliest. Mr. Gupta said that directives given by the Chief Minister during review meetings should be implemented at the earliest.

The Minister directed to release advertisement for filling vacancies in engineering colleges at the earliest. He directed for inspection of all polytechnic colleges. Mr. Gupta said that a policy for permission to professors for foreign visit should be chalked out on the lines of Higher Education Department. He directed to review cases pending in courts. Mr. Gupta said that necessary action should be ensured to start engineering college at Dhar from next session. Principal Secretary Higher Education Mr. Ashish Upadhyay, Principal Secretary Technical Education Mrs. Kalpana Srivastava, Commissioner Higher Education Mr. Umakant Umrao, Additional Secretaries Technical Education Mr. D.D. Agrawal, Mr. Sunil Gupta and Director Technical Education Mr. Ashish Dongare attended the meeting.
