Water flow in Kshipra fully controlled and safe

Apprehensions of emergency in villages on Kshipra banks baseless

Bhopal, April 19, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):   Water being flowed from Narmada-Kshipra Link Project in Kshipra river is fully controlled and safe. There is no possibility of any emergency for villages situated on both the banks of Kshipra. Narmada Valley Development Authority has clarified entire process of water flow and regarding apprehensions being expressed on possible emergency situations due to flow of water from the project. Chief Engineer of the project Mr. M.S. Ajnare informed that water as per requirement is being supplied by pumping through pipeline from Kshipra river’s origin upto Ujjain. Well planned process has been chalked out for flow of water. According to it, prior information before release of water is given to Indore and Ujjain administration, Public Health Engineering, Narmada Valley Development Authority and officers of Dewas Municipal Corporation.

For this, officers’ MPNVDA SMS group has been formed. Besides, a Whatsapp group of 57 officers has also been formed specially for Simhastha Parv. This group constantly exchanges information about flow of water. Advance information about water flow is also given separately by Commissioner Narmada Valley Rehabilitation, Indore to Collectors of Dewas and Indore, SDOs Revenue of Dewas, Ujjain and Sanwer. Arrangements of patrolling have been also been made for constant surveillance of water flow in entire area. Over 80 guards of appointed security agency send field information to concerning engineers of NVDA. Due to this multi-layer control system, apprehension about any emergency situation from water flow in Kshipra river is baseless.
