Statue of Emperor Vikramaditya unveiled at Ujjain

Simhastha’s first Shahi Snan today

vikeram22.4.16Bhopal, April 22, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):  Beautification work of historic hillock of Emperor Vikramaditya in Rudrasagar and his statue were unveiled in the presence of Minister in-charge of Ujjain district Mr. Bhupendra Singh, School Education Minister Mr. Paras Jain and Simhastha Central Committee’s Chairman Mr. Makhan Singh at Ujjain today. Before unveiling, MLA Dr. Mohan Yadav performed worship. The state government has undertaken beautification works costing about Rs. 7 crore on hillock of Emperor Vikramaditya. First Shahi Snan of Simhastha-2016 will be held on April 22. All arrangements have been ensured for Shahi Snan. Police and paramilitary personnel will guard the ghats. For Shahi Snan, serials for bathing and routes to going to ghats have been prescribed. City buses and Tata Magic vehicles for going to Ujjain city and Simhastha Mela area from satellite towns will be available every one to 2 minutes. For this, Transport Department has arranged 400 city buses and 1000 Tata Magic vehicles with the help of AICTL. In-charge Minister Mr. Bhupendra Singh launched the vehicle service. He said that a devotee can go from one place to another in Mela area on fare of only Rs. 10.
